Trendiest neighborhoods🏡

Bairro Alto

Whether it’s day or night, this spot always has something to do.

As one of the most popular districts in the city, you can find cozy cafes, great vibes, and unique bars, all while being surrounded by the sounds of music coming from the traditional restaurants.

Belém

The birthplace of the Pastél de Belém, this historic neighborhood is more laid-back, making it perfect for a riverside walk, taking in the views and heading to the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology.

It also holds two of the most important attractions in Lisbon: the Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery.

Alfama

Lisbon’s oldest quarter, known for its medieval streets, is a charming area full of artisanal shops.

Walking through this neighborhood is an adventure in itself, you never know what you’ll find! Plus it also has some amazing viewpoints of the city, river and Saint George's Castle.

What else do you need to know about Lisbon?🤔

No more gray skies

In Lisbon you can expect sunny days most of the year and short winters. This means you can have a tequila sunrise or a cold beer on the beach even in November or December because the sun will still be shining.

In Lisbon you’ll always see people out and about. Why? Because the great weather has to be enjoyed.

This makes it ideal to go to the beaches, which happen to be some of the most breathtaking ones in Europe.

A football city

It’s hard not to see the pride and passion that Lisbon has for the sport. You’ll probably always see a TV in a bar showing a match.

With two of the best Portuguese clubs (Benfica & Sporting) in the city, even the locals that don’t care much for football still associate themselves with one of the Lisbon teams.

There’s nothing like the gameday atmosphere: great vibes and filling yourself up with bifanas and beers.

Parades, festivities, & a lots of food

The Portuguese know how to live so expect lots of celebrations. As an employee in Lisbon you’d be entitled to 22 days of paid time off, plus 13 national holidays, and one additional holiday in Lisbon.

So imagine that: parading through the streets with people from every neighborhood, eating up all the delicious street food, and dancing all night. Not too bad of a life right?
