This is your Latvian ID number—and you’ll need it for everything: paying taxes, getting a salary, visiting a doctor, even opening a bank account.
How to get it:
You'll receive your personal code automatically when you register your residence in Latvia.

If you're staying in Latvia for more than 90 days, you must apply for this certificate. It confirms your right to live and work in the country.
